Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program

The BMME Addiction Medicine Program offers comprehensive clinical training focused on the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients affected by unhealthy substance use or substance-related health conditions. Upon completing the one-year fellowship, fellows will be prepared to serve as clinical experts, educators, researchers, and change agents in the field of addiction medicine.

Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program

Our Geriatric Medicine Program is committed to promoting health, preventing disease, and managing complex medical conditions in older adults, typically those over 65, while individualizing care based on patient needs rather than age alone. The curriculum emphasizes a holistic approach that integrates physical, cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions of health to optimize quality of life and support functional independence.

BMME Academic Inclusivity Committee

Baptist Memorial Medical Education will incorporate Diversity and Inclusion within our academic culture, adhering to the greater Baptist Memorial Healthcare mission of healing, preaching and teaching, to provide a quality experience for all. We will provide inclusivity in regards, but not limited to, gender, age, and racial, ethnic, religious and cultural background. We will allow all individuals the opportunity to understand the differences of individuals within a non-biased environment.

To increase our efforts with regards to providing a diverse and inclusive residency and fellowship program, we have partnered with LMSA (Latina Medical Student Association) to assist and support an equitable residency selection process.
